- Avoid sleeping on a metal-spring mattress; choose a wooden bed as metal beds can collect radiation
- Avoid sitting with electric cables under your chair or desk
- Whenever possible, avoid spending any time near power stations or high voltage power lines
- Remove electrical equipment from your bedroom (radio-alarm clocks, televisions, electric blankets, cell phones, computers and cordless digital telephone bases)
- Remove electrical toys, for example: train sets, video games, etc. from your children's bedroom
- Use a protective screen on your computer
- Limit your cell phone use to only when you have to or for making quick calls, otherwise use a land-line
- Switch to an analogue phone
- Set up your digital phone base and wireless internet connection in a part of house where you don’t spend much time (avoid having a wireless network unless it is absolutely necessary)
- On a regular basis, let lots of fresh air into your house and especially into your bedroom
- Ideally live at least one-half mile away from any electric sub-station

Are Cell Phones the New Cigarettes?
Are Cell Phones the New Cigarettes?
Back in the 1950's, “More Doctors Smoke Camels than Any Other Cigarette”. This was a advertisement that was broadcast everywhere. It took till the 1970's for big tobacco to lose their 1st legal case against them for causing harm to someone (ie. link to cancer).
Cellphone are the same way. More & more studies are coming out from Europe about the dangers of cell phone use & their link to brain cancer. The thing is many of these studies either get buried or viewed as unreliable by most the so called industry experts. These experts are paid for by the cell phone industry themselves so this protects the businesses that are being investigated.
Just like smoking, the effects don't happen over night. It takes years for cancer to begin to develop from smoking, the same is happening from cell phone usage. I do a lecture on Microwave ovens called: "Is your Microwave Cooking More than your Food?" In my lecture I discuss how a microwave cooks food & what happens to the signals sent to the food inside. I also discuss microwave leakage & its potential effects on you.
Cellphones are really no different. They are like little unshielded microwave ovens. The frequencies transmitted get into your head & can cause damage to your cells over time. It is not so much as cooking your cells as it is to the frequencies doing damage to the cells.
Electromagnetic radiation such as that emitted by mobile and cordless phones can heat the side of your head or pulse it non-thermally, and potentially thermoelectrically interact with the organic electrical currents of your brain. Bluetooth devices and unshielded headsets can convert your head into an effective, potentially self-harming antenna.
Exposure is long-term and its effects on your body, particularly its electrical organ, your brain, are compounded by numerous other simultaneous long-term exposures including continuous waves from radio and TV transmitter towers, cordless phone base stations, power lines, and wireless/WiFi computing devices.
If you’re looking for some type of indication that cell phones are causing you harm, consider that all of the following ailments have been scientifically linked to information-carrying radio waves:
The safe way to use a cell phone: as little as possible. When using a cell phone, a wired headset should be used to move the antenna away from your head. When that is not possible try alternating the phone between both ears every 15 secs so as not to concentrate the signal to one side of your head. After use, the phone should be turned off, not sitting in standby mode in your pocket. It is still radiating when it is just sitting there. Also do not use it if the signal is weak. this cause the phone to boost the signal more to try to reach the tower.
There is a ton of information out there if you are interested in knowing more about this rising epidemic.Contact me if you would like to know more. my website: www.gratefuldowsing.com

Joan Baez @ the Minnesota Zoo
Diana & I went to see Joan Baez at the Zoo last night. What an amazing show!!! She looked great for her age & sounded just as good. I have not seen Joan in almost 26 years when she opened for the Grateful Dead back when I lived in California.
She played quite a few oldies, newer & many Bob Dylan tunes. One of the highlights was the encore of The night They Drove Old Dixie Down. The entire audience was singing with her. It was quite amazing.
We left afterward & took a pleasant drive home with the top down on the convertible. Nice end to the evening.
